Features
Everything in Visor, the trading desk you build
Where things stand
- Closed beta. Access opens from the waitlist on the home page.
- Paper trading is live for every user since 31 August 2026: a simulated order ticket, chart trading with take-profit and stop-loss brackets and OCO-linked exits, a DOM trade panel, and a simulated practice account. Every paper surface is marked SIMULATED; no real orders are placed.
- Broker connection: Visor's Rithmic integration (app name "Visordesk") passed Rithmic's R|Protocol conformance on 24 August 2026. Read-only account sync is built: positions, working orders, fills and P&L drawn on the chart, with the trading journal filled from fills. It switches on at launch for traders whose broker or prop firm issues Rithmic credentials that work with third-party platforms. Visor never accepts broker agreements on a user's behalf, and credentials are held in memory for the session only.
- Live order routing through the trader's own broker or prop firm is a launch requirement and is not switched on today. The current build cannot place, modify or cancel an order at a broker; that capability is fenced out of the build and enforced by an automated guard. When it opens, it opens to Pro+ first, then Pro, then every tier, and orders always go to the trader's own account at their own broker or prop firm.
- Also live in the closed beta: 51 workspace widgets, 391 chart indicators and 62 candlestick-pattern detectors, the SOOS intelligence pipeline, SOOS Chat on the chart, the journal, the Learn library, the Atlas globe, and the Discord community.
Every widget below is in the app's gallery today. Workspaces are 4×3 grids of widgets, dragged and resized like a tiling window manager; desks (Day trading, Orderflow, Macro desk, Chart, Journal) are one-click presets, and a desk can be shared as a copy by link.
Charting
- Chart. Candlestick charts with 391 indicators behind a searchable browser with thumbnails, 62 candlestick-pattern detectors marked on the candles, resizable panes, and SOOS event markers pinned to the exact bar.
- Drawing rail. Trend and horizontal lines, text, measure tool, zoom box, Fibonacci retracement, forecast/projection, Elliott waves, XABCD and Head & Shoulders patterns, emoji, eraser, clear-all. Drawings persist per symbol.
- Multi-chart layouts in fullscreen. 1 to 8 charts, each with its own symbol, interval and indicators; sync crosshair and sync interval.
- Chart trading. Buy/sell from the chart, position and bracket lines you can drag, working-order lines, a docked order column (paper trading today).
- Chart-gutter GEX ribbon and vol-forecast band overlays.
- Watchlist and Market Overview. Live quotes; indices, commodities, FX and crypto at a glance.
- Yield Curve. The US Treasury par curve, eleven maturities, a year of history to scrub, and the 2s10s spread.
- Seasonality. The average calendar-year path of a symbol with this year overlaid, month-by-month win rates, every figure with its sample size.
Order flow
- DOM Ladder & Trade Panel. Depth-of-market ladder with trade prints and tape (crypto L2); with paper trading on, it becomes the practice trade panel with click-to-trade, brackets and flatten.
- OrderFlowMap. Liquidity heatmap fed with live order flow (crypto L2).
News, macro and intelligence
- SOOS Feed. The live intelligence stream, with desktop notifications.
- SOOS Scanner. Tickers ranked by signal density, with a one-line SOOS read per row, seasonal and volatility-regime chips.
- Daily Brief. The last 24 hours composed into patterns, movers and headlines, tailored to the user's symbols.
- Financial News and My Symbols News. Market-wide and per-ticker news wires.
- Congress Trades. US congressional stock-trade disclosures (STOCK Act) parsed from official House Clerk records, with the trade-to-disclosure lag on every row.
- Economic Calendar. Official BLS, BEA and Fed schedules with released prints.
- Alerts. Price alerts, plus automatic pattern alerts on watchlist symbols.
- Research cards. New arXiv quantitative-finance papers summarised into summary, methodology, findings, limitations and asset classes.
- Sources. SEC EDGAR filings, USAspending defence contract awards, per-ticker and market-wide news, arXiv q-fin, House Clerk PTR filings, treasury.gov, ECB daily reference rates, plus a 12-pattern server-side scanner over completed daily bars.
Quant and options analytics
- Backtesting with four anti-overfit gates on every run: a random control of 500 randomly-timed twins, a 70/30 out-of-sample split by time, corrected significance (|t| ≥ 3.5 after Harvey–Liu–Zhu) and a deflated Sharpe ratio. The verdict ships with the headline number; there is no setting to hide a failing one.
- Strategy Editor (rule-based, sandboxed script DSL), Backtest Results (equity curves, Monte Carlo), Strategy Comparison (side by side).
- Correlation Matrix and Pairs Analysis. Pearson correlation of log returns; cointegration, hedge ratio, spread z-score and mean-reversion half-life.
- Volatility regime (HAR-RV). A model estimate of next-session realised volatility against the 22-day baseline, with its own error band.
- Options Calculator. Black-Scholes pricer with delta, gamma, vega, theta, rho, charm, vanna and implied vol.
- GEX Profile, Volatility Smile, Net Premium Flow, Greek Exposure Surface: dealer positioning and premium flow across the BTC options chain.
- Position sizing. Kelly and risk of ruin.
Trading journal
- Trade Log with manual entry and MT5 statement import; paper fills flow in automatically, and broker fills will at launch.
- Trading Calendar (daily P&L), Daily Review (rate each day's risk, execution and psychology), Moods by P&L.
- Fourteen stat tiles. Total P&L, Total Number of Trades, Avg Winning Trade, Avg Losing Trade, Best Day % of Total Profit, Most Profitable Day, Trade Win %, Day Win %, Profit Factor, Trade Direction %, Avg Win / Avg Loss, Best Trade, Worst Trade, and Win Rate Analysis by holding time. The Journal desk preset lays them out in one click.
- Trading Challenges. Discipline and performance challenges scored from the journal.
Atlas
- Atlas. An interactive 3D globe (CesiumJS) with SOOS signals plotted worldwide and world-data layers: USGS earthquakes, NOAA storms, power plants and refineries, cargo and tanker ships, military air traffic. Optional Google Photorealistic 3D Tiles.
SOOS, the AI research engine
- SOOS is Visor's intelligence engine. It reads filings, contracts, news, congressional disclosures and research around the clock, and analyses the charts themselves: price structure, patterns, seasonality and volatility. Its output is AI-generated and labelled as such; every claim travels with its source and sample size.
- SOOS Chat. A docked column on any widget that computes answers against Visor's own data with tools (session levels, revisit probabilities with base rates, seasonality, vol regime, correlation and pairs, order flow, the scanner, the user's own journal statistics, an ephemeral backtest through the gates) and marks what it finds on the focused chart. Vision input from a chart region, dictation, a model picker, and a per-turn credit price. A post-generation lint withholds any draft that reads as a personal recommendation.
- Metered on a monthly SOOS-credit allowance per tier, with prepaid top-ups.
Community
- Discord. A Visor Discord server is live, with news, congress-trade and market feeds posted by the SOOS bot, reaction roles, and support through Discord tickets and email.
- In the app. Profiles, levels and XP, leaderboards, a hall of fame, member search, and trading challenges. A cosmetics economy (Visor Credits, official store, marketplace) runs in the closed beta and ships dark at launch.
Education
- Learn. A guided lesson library inside the app across eight tracks: Getting Started, Market Basics, Reading the Tape, Strategies, Quant Methods, Options, Risk & Psychology, Using Visor. Written as observations, never instructions; historical figures always labelled non-predictive. The Strategies track runs each mechanical rule through the four anti-overfit gates on real data and prints the engine's own verdict in the lesson.
- Public lesson. The Golden Cross, whose verdict is "failed robustness testing".
Workspace and platform
- Workspaces. Tiling grids, desk presets, shareable copies, keybinds, a command palette and quick tool stack, an Ambient widget for scenes and media, Notes.
- Home. Today's Pulse (brief digest, movers, next macro event, ticker tape, changelog), Jump Back In, Stats, Learn, Getting Started.
- Phone. The web app stacks single-column on a phone with touch reorder and resize; Visor is desktop-first.
- Security. Cookie sessions, server-side tier enforcement, Stripe-hosted checkout (Visor never sees card data), broker credentials never written to disk.
Asset classes covered
- US stocks and ETFs, with a curated catalog that leans defence, energy and financials, plus full vendor search.
- Indices, commodities and EIA energy spot series.
- FX (ECB daily reference rates, tagged as daily, charted on 1D/1W) and US Treasury rates.
- Crypto as read-only data and analysis. BTC and other coins on charts and in scanner reads, crypto L2 order flow, and BTC options analytics. Visor never promotes cryptoassets or invites anyone to acquire them.
- Futures. Practice contracts in paper trading today; futures quotes are delayed on every tier; real futures accounts via the Rithmic rail at launch.
Plans and prices are on the pricing page, and why Visor costs what it does is in the founder's words.
Visor provides general market information and analysis only. It is not financial, investment or trading advice. Visor is not a broker and holds no client funds. Capital at risk.
