Reading the Feed
The SOOS Feed is Visor's live intelligence stream. It is the running list of things the system has noticed across the instruments it covers — a detected chart pattern, a notable headline, a research note — each with a short, plain-English read attached.
Where the signals come from
The feed aggregates a few kinds of thing:
- Detected patterns — the pattern engine watches price data and flags classic formations (engulfing candles, breakouts, and so on) as they complete.
- News and headlines — market news matched to the instruments it mentions.
- Research — occasional notes distilled from public sources, such as quantitative-finance papers, presented as summary cards.
Each entry names the instrument, the category, and when it happened, with a one-line analysis you can expand. Where that analysis is AI-generated, it is labelled as such, and it can be incomplete or wrong — treat it as a starting point for your own reading, not a conclusion.
How to read a signal
A signal in the feed is an observation about the market, phrased in the third person: "the scanner detected a bullish engulfing on this symbol (daily)." It is describing what happened on the chart. It is not an instruction to trade, and it does not carry a prediction of what happens next. A detected pattern is a fact about the past few bars; whether it means anything is a question the signal deliberately leaves to you.
The limits
Be clear-eyed about what a signal stream can and cannot do:
- A detected pattern is not a forecast. Patterns fail all the time.
- News is matched to tickers automatically, so an occasional headline may be loosely related.
- The internal-validation data feeds used today are delayed and will be replaced by a licensed vendor before any public launch — quotes carry a "delayed" badge where that applies.
Used well, the feed is a way to notice activity you would otherwise miss and then go and look properly. Used badly, it becomes a stream of things to react to. The next lessons — the scanner, alerts, and the daily brief — are about turning that raw stream into something you actually watch.
