Workspaces and Layouts

A workspace is one screen of panels; Visor gives you several, as tabs along the top. The art of using Visor well is mostly about how you split your attention across them.

Creating and switching

• The + on the tab bar creates a new workspace.
• Click a tab to switch to it; the layout slides in from the direction of travel.
• Drag tabs to reorder them — put the one you open most first.
• A workspace can be renamed, reset (clear its widgets), or deleted — you always keep at least one.

Your number of workspaces is set by your tier: this is the main thing the paid tiers buy, because a workspace is cheap for you to fill and the extra room is where the value is.

A layout that works

Rather than one crowded screen, most people end up with a few focused ones. A common split:

• Overview — market overview, watchlist, feed, and the daily brief. The "what's going on" screen.
• Focus — a large chart, plus the analytics you read alongside it (seasonality, order flow, or the options calculator), for the one instrument you are studying.
• Research — the scanner, news, and this Library.

Because charts follow symbol clicks, the Overview and Focus screens work together: click a name on the overview, and the chart on your Focus screen is already set to it when you switch across.

Everything is saved

Layouts, widget settings, and per-widget density and colour are all saved to your account as you go. Sign in on another machine and your workspaces are exactly as you left them. There is no "save" button to forget.
